Dr. A IS THE MOST caring patient eye specialist. He is excellent,thorough and has the most gentle hands. He is also a GREAT listener.

Initially, I would say the whole experience from the time I walked into the office was excellent! The staff at the front desk were professional and pleasant! The assistant doing my eye tests was the same! She gave you the feeling that you were in good hands! Dr. Aliprandis was a delight to talk to and ask questions even though he went through everything himself! He listened and then had his surgical scheduler come in who went over everything and made an appointment for me once again in a manner that made you feel extremely comfortable! I came in for a cataract consult. The 2 technicians had some trouble taking measurements and had to call another Colleague for instruction. Prior to this, one of the technicians said she was doing this all day and walked away. Knowing that precise measurements are necessary I asked to be rescheduled. The technician said no, it’s ok, we have it now. The doctor came in and said the cornea test was not done correctly and he had to re-do and show the technician. I felt the technicians were somewhat unprofessional and inexperienced. However Dr. Aliprandis explained everything clearly and I know I am in good hands. I am very confident the cataract surgery will go well The staff at the front desk were very accommodating . I would recommend this doctor to others.

When doing evaluation before surgery, he is giving true review and suggests only the right and simple things for your case, nothing extra. Very patient…explained results of testing and went,over operation for cataracts in easy to understand words. Answered my questions until I understood the answers and was not insistent about my scheduling procedure but explained the pluses for early schedule in and understood why I was reluctant to schedule right away.

My appointment was for 9:30 A.M. After only 15-20 minutes, my name was called. An assistant took my vital eye exam, including giving my eyes the drops to dilate my pupils. After about 20 minutes, the usual time to wait for the eyes to dilate, Dr. Aliprandis examined me. By 10:45, I was on my way home.

What you need to know: -staff were friendly and helpful -the tech who was helping me did a good job of giving directions and making me feel comfortable during the tests -Dr A was very thorough but succinct, explained the tests and the imaging, periodically paused to make sure my questions were answered. I say this as an experienced Nurse Practitioner: there is a very good reason I recommend him to my own family and patients. Worth the travel, worth the wait (if you even have to!)

The last time I visited, yesterday, was the THIRD TIME the office had bungled my appointment, telling me I had the wrong date, which I didn’t. This is compounded by the fact that every time I visit, there is a completely new staff, both medical and clerical at the front desk. Therefore, no accountability. Absolutely maddening. Luckily yesterday the woman at the front desk was polite and helpful - an absolute rarity. The doctor himself is okay but the prelude to seeing him is not.

Dr H didnt prescribe meds when chronic condition flared up & never scheduled my very needed surgery in 2 yrs!!!

The office is always extremely busy, but Dr Aliprandis never rushes you during an exam. He takes his time to explain any conditions you may have. He patiently worked with me to get the best results out of my new lens prescription.

I did not like that the office was late. They made 2 8:15 appointments and the secretary came at 8:20. The doctor comes at 9:00. Today she was also late. So dont take an early morning appointment.. As soon as they started working, everything was smooth and professional. I got the result that I was expecting.

To me, they run the office the way it should be run. Quite frankly, other offices, the receptionist doesn’t even look at you when you speak. I’m sorry to say, that behavior will turn me off to a doctor, if that’s the kind of office he or she wants to run . The staff at Ophthamology Associates is pleasant and they greet you when you come in. I arrived early but only waited a few minutes to be called in. Of course Dr. Aliprandis welcomes you with a smile and addresses any questions or concerns you may have. If you feel, for whatever reason , you need to find a new Ophthalmologist you should check them out. You’ll won’t need to look any further.

Dr. Aliprandis It's a caring Doctor who takes his time to Listen and understand your concerns. The technicians are great. However the front desk lacks training on how to deal with patients , patients needs, Patients privacy HIPA and Respecting the patient's time.

Dr. Rusu was very professional and friendly, and took time to listen even though the actual visit was short. My prescription did not go through to the pharmacy (some technical glitch) and the office staff were very helpful in resolving the issue. Overall a positive experience.

Dr. Rusu is great but the ridiculously long wait time makes me think twice about recommending the practice. I was seen for pre screening about 20 mins after my appt time-easy to forgive. That said, I was then sent back to the waiting room for over an hour waiting to see the doctor. Once called in to see her, it was another 10 minutes wait time and then a 5 minute consultation (which would be fine if it didn’t take place 2 hours post my appt time). This practice is clearly over scheduled and has been for a long time.

Dr. Elias was the ultimate professional. He knew his craft and was insightful in providing me information about my situation. Despite the wait in the waiting room, Dr. Elias took the time to examine and answer all my questions.

I had an urgent appointment with Dr Irene Rusu on June 25 2024 due to extreme eye pain. During my chief complaint she interrupted me while I was describing my concerns; checked for a corneal scratch; did not dilate my eyes; instructed me to return over a week later for a full eye exam; and diagnosed me with dry eye. I am so glad that I did not follow her medical advice. I instead searched for another ophthalmologist who saw me the next day. They took my complaint seriously and then insisted that I see a neuro ophthalmologist after a full eye exam, dilating my eyes, completing a vision field test, Ishihara test, etc. As a result I was hospitalized and treated for optic neuritis. Dr. Rusu was dismissive and her lack of attention to detail led her to horribly miss a critical diagnosis in my case.

The whole team was very professional & accommodating. Only thing that was bit unpleasant was long wait time. I waited too long for my final exam. Everything else was pretty fast. I still recommend Dr Elias to anyone looking for good Opthamologist.

Although I like the doctor as well as his staff, the wait times to get in to see him are off the charts! It seems his appointments are always overbooked. I don’t understand why you need to wait sometimes more than three hours to get in to see him for all of five minutes. It’s quite frustrating!
