Dr. Stephen Conrad is a fellowship-trained retinal specialist who received his undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College and his medical degree from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Stephen Conrad completed his ophthalmology residency and received his Fellowship training in retinal disorders from Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Conrad has been in every issue of “Who’s Who in Diabetes Treatment, Education and Research”.
Stephen Conrad is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons. Dr. Conrad has been at our practice since July 1981.
Dr. Elias Aliprandis is a fellowship-trained corneal specialist who received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Elias Aliprandis completed his ophthalmology residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and received his Fellowship training in cornea and external disease at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. Dr. Aliprandis has received numerous awards for his research and is licensed in the states of New York and Florida. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Elias Aliprandis specializes in cataract surgery, laser vision correction, corneal transplantation, dry eye, and diseases of the cornea and anterior segment of the eye. Dr. Aliprandis employs the latest advances in LASIK and cataract surgery, such as bladeless LASIK, Laser-assisted cataract surgery and advanced intraocular lenses that can eliminate the need for eyeglasses after cataract surgery.
Dr. Brian Herschorn is a board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship-training in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. He received both his undergraduate and his medical degrees from McGill University in Montreal. Following postgraduate medical training at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre of the University of Toronto, Dr. Brian Herschorn completed his ophthalmology residency at the Scheie Eye Institute of the University of Pennsylvania.
Fellowship training was completed at the Manhattan Eye Ear & Throat Hospital, here in New York City. Dr. Herschorn became a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 1983 and has practiced ophthalmology in New York City since that time. Dr. Herschorn has almost 30 years of extensive experience on the forefront of cataract surgery and almost 10 years of experience providing LASIK and refractive surgery to the community. His unique skills in the fields of oculoplastic, orbital, lacrimal, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery have been an asset to Ophthalmology Associates of Bay Ridge since 1985, when he began his affiliation.
Dr. Brian Herschorn has published a number of scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals such as the British Journal of Ophthalmology and Ophthalmology, the journal of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Herschorn has held teaching posts at the Manhattan Eye Ear & Throat Hospital and, then, at the Mount Sinai Medical Center where he is affiliated. He is also on staff at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary of the Beth Israel Medical Center and through the Manhattan Eye Ear & Throat Hospital at the Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. Felicia Donnolo is an Optometrist who received her degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry in Manhattan. She has been working in the optical field for almost thirty years providing care for the Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights community that she grew up in. Dr. Felicia Donnolo attended St. Ephrem’s, then Notre Dame Academy of Staten Island, New York University, and Brooklyn College on academic scholarships and graduated cum laude from Brooklyn College. Dr. Donnolo currently works with her husband, Marc Shuff, a licenced Optician with degrees from Brooklyn College and New York City College of Technology.
